Question no 4x4

I am so glad I found you guys.

I have a 1995 bronco xlt with automatic locking hubs, that will not go into 4 wheel drive. When I push the button on the dash I can hear it “clunk” and feel the truck gear down, but the front wheels do not engage. I found out the hard way. From reading other post on this site it sounds like it may be the hub. If it is are they difficult to change? If they are not, what do need to get to do the job with one stop at the auto parts store.

Thank you, aj

aj,
Yea those autohubs are crap. Just a question - you do know you have to travel ~10' before they will "engage" In other words, if you are already spining the rear tires and hit 4x4 button, your screwed.

Do a search for auto hub conversion, you will find lots of help.

Yup, auto hubs. That is probably top three of questions asked in this forum. The search that 3broncocrazy mentioned will tell you everything you need to know.
