6.2 low end knock
Hey guys, I have a 2019 Super Duty with a 6.2. I have been hearing a low end knock that is intermittent. sounds like a rod but I am not convinced that it is a rod. Has plenty of oil pressure, runs great. Has anyone else had this problem?

When do you hear it? All of my 6.2s make a rattling or knocking sound on cold start in the mornings. Just pretty noisy engines in general. The injectors also tick pretty loudly and depending on where you are listening in the fender or under the truck it can sound like an engine knock until you put a stethoscope on the engine and hear nothing.

Hello JC, it is only at an idle, does not matter if it is cold or not. Yes it does have the tap sounds like a typewriter, this is a knock. Just can't figure out what it is. I saw that someone else has the same noise but I am not sure where I read that post.
