front bumper quality?

Well the Red 79 Crew is almost on the road. Just called for the appraisal . What I need to know is where to get a high quality front bumper in chrome. I know there are a lot of them out there in the parts catalogue. Have any of you purchased one of these, and were you happy with it. I did purchase one already but it was a superlight weight piece of taiwan crap. Don't want to get another like that.

go to www.bumperboyz.com they will rechrome your's or you can buy one from them. they have orig ford one's in stock. they are in CA but they go to ALOT of swapmeets from coast to coast. i bought 2 bumper's for my 67 Chevelle when i lived in NJ and they were PERFECT. check out the website to see when they will be at a swapmeet near you. you won't be disappointed. they also buy used bumper's to rechrome and resell.

My truck had hit into a pole, after the emergency brake popped out while my truck was running as I stepped out to use an ATM machine. This happened about five years ago and bent my original bumper to heck. I bought a cheap reproduction at a swap meet for $100.00. I undercoated the back side before I put it on, and I put a coat of wax on it when I wax my truck. The chrome has held up pretty good so far. Maybe I got lucky, but I'm happy with it.
The chrome is not show quality, if that is what your looking for, because on the corners where the bumper wraps around there are a few wrinkles in the chrome.
