Ok I have another problem I get in to my truck and my radio wants to update put in a usb I can get it do say anything else even after a soft reboot I went and looked on ford for the new file I followed the instructions put in the usb and it gives me a error it's not the right files is there anyway to get it out of this mode and back to the radio thanks
If you still have your 17 what version of sync are you running Sync 3 v?????

I had updated it to v3.4but when I go get the files buy entering my vin it showed I was still on v3.0 and it had a update to v30.2 so that what I downloaded

Did you by chance use the third party Cyanlabs to run the update to 3.4? If you did, use them to update. When you use Cyanlabs, it does not report back to Ford that you updated, and it seems like this is the issue you are having. A visit to the dealer can update the Ford site using their IDS, but they may charge you for doing it.

yes I used cyanlabs to update it and I know ford will charge me for but I have yet to find out how to get it out of the update mode I will probably have to take it to ford

Have you retried the Cyanlabs updater? If you ran the Ford updater, the files that transferred may be stuck and need a rewrite, so the Cyanlabs program may do what it needs to be done.

I see that but I tried running it again and it still says error files not found
I can even get to those screens it setup to auto update and i can't get out of the update screen yeah if I couldn't get into the radio If i could i could turn off the update thanks

Oh, you can't even get into the menu. This is with all USB removed too? Have you tried pulling the fuse for a while and then reloading the newer USB drive with the current or later version? If so, I think it has been reformatted and looking for the correct version files to install.

so the radio is on all the time trying to update it won't shut off so I called ford I was told to take both negative of the battery for 15min that didn't help at all so I guess I'm going to have to make a appointment with ford now funny thing is I had told it to always update by wifi now it wants a usb stick go figure
