Hey everyone,
I have. 89 bronco 351. It has been siting for a year without starting. I did a tune up on, all new fluids, fuel injectors, gas tank, brakes, fuel pump and it still won’t start. It turns off and starts for a second and then dies. Any advice?
Your 89 will have 2 fuel pumps
A low pressure pump that feeds the reservoir and a high pressure frame pump
The green relay under the hood is the fuel pump relay
Do not take the reservoir apart looking for a fuel filter
The front high pressure pumps like to vibrate the wires to the breaking point then the pump quits
Check the actual terminals that connect the wiring pigtail to the frame pump
Good luck
I have a 89 PCED and can post some of the fuel delivery diagnosis pages if you need
