So I have the opportunity to buy a 4wd 6r80, with a speed gems adapter kit and a quick 6 for about half the cost. Guy bought it for a project and never finished it. I currently have a 1966 f100 4x4 with a 390, np435 and np205. I guess my question is this worth the work? Obviously having a modern transmission and getting much better gas mileage is nice and my knees aren’t getting any younger. Truck is completely stripped down to the frame right now so getting it in wouldnt be a hassle.

Anybody done this swap before? I have seen a couple threads on here about it, but none of them ever finished out.

Any thoughts, ideas or suggestions are appreciated
