Hi my name is Anthony. I have decided to join this forum to get different point of views and somehow in regards to a new project that I just picked up. I am a mechanic and have been renting for 5 years or so. I look forward to learning and discussing different topics that are related to this project that I am working on.

I have the project truck which is a 1979 F100 or F-150 with a 351 mod 4-speed manual transmission and it is a 4x4. The owner does not know if it is an F100 or 150 and someone has put on the incorrect clutch kit to where the gears grind that you're trying to put them into gear now I know that there are other options I just not sure which one to go for. Some have those three kind of finger-like splines and the other one has a complete circle of splines is there a significant difference with the splines being different or a throw out bearing I basically am asking what clutch kit do I purchase for this truck I don't know the difference between the F100 and the F-150 doesn't matter or just go off the size of the engine so I'm a bit of a stop right now and need any advice or direction will be greatly appreciated thank you
