That is for the "Box Link" system. The pre-2023s worked with E-track accessories and Ford must have got mad and made it proprietary so only Ford accessories work now.
What is this for tie down point or an accessory? There are 4 of them. 2024 f350 lariat.
Just to be clear, Those are tie down points. They are not part of the box link system or previous E-track system. My XLT has the same hardware, they are called H-Loop” production Tie Down plates. If you wanted to use the Box Link system you would need the standard Interface Plate Kit (FL3Z-9928408-AB) and the Box Link cleats (HL3Z99000A64A).
I found no accessories that would work with mine. I replaced them with the Boxlink E Port back plate system. $36 for four plus a tie down ring at each corner from Amazon. Also you have the entire boxlink E port system accessories to choose from in the future. The Ford plates seem to really limit your options. To about zero!
If you want the cleats, the plates need changing also. You unscrew the 4 bolts, remove the existing plates, and screw in the new plates. Not 100% now, but they're something like M6.

Good question: 4 x M6 bolts doesn't seem very "sturdy", but it should still be substantial enough for most loads.
Right. That won't fit in my truck because then changed the plates.
Sure they will. The link shows you can buy the old Ford style plates, the cleats, or the combo of both. When you get the old style plates the replace the "H" plates on '24+ trucks.

I just swapped 2 of the 'old' style plates from my 2023 to my 2025, and put the 'new' plates back on the 2023... bolt pattern is the same, easy peasy.
