99,200 miles on a 2000 F-250 CC SC 4x4 Lariat 7.3L PSD. This is the best overall truck I have ever owned, and it is broken in like a good pair of jeans

 

I am looking right now for a good used truck to last me at least 10 years of low mileage driving, probably 10,000 to 15,000 per year, mainly freeway (except the deer hunting and camping part). I am currently looking into a F250 Super Cab, LB, and leaning toward at V-10. Most of the used ones in my area have between 75,000 and 150,000 miles on them (yes thats a large spread and the prices reflect that too) My budget keeps me in the 1996 through 2000 model years. Does anyone have experience with the V-10. My last three trucks were a 94 F350 4X4 Crew Cab, lost it at about 65,000, an 87 Bronco w/5.0 that went 288K before the motor started smoking and an 86 F250 that I sold at about 150,000. I love the 460 but would like to buy a somewhat newer vehicle. Any help would be appreciated.

PS - Looking for a F250 SD, LB, 4X4, Super Cab with possibly the V-10 - am a little concerned about the 5.4 not having enough umph.

ive got 280,000+++ km on my 95 f150
my dads truck is a 04 F350 extended cab diesel and hes got like 140,000 km +++(the last time i looked)
and my mom has got a 04 F150 ext cab and its got like 100,000 km

we do lots of travelling, tehehehe and most of that milage is back roads fishin 4x4'n huntin, although on my dads truck his is mostly hwy milage weekend work trips to seattle and portland, i got most of mine 4x4'n and back and forth from to fort st john and lytton to vancouver and ive only had the truck for a little over a year and i almost put 200,000 km on the girl.

Check out the v-10 forum and maybe repost your question in there and you will get some good answers. I love my v-10, 107,000mi and still runs great.

Hey everybody

Just rolled through 33,800 mi today.
Mostly around town, and a few longer trips here and there. What the truck really needs is a good drive across the state, which I plan to do. I haven't visited with my friend who's off to college for a while, so I guess I'll be taking care of 2 things at once.

 

I have 2002 F250 with 65,000. If you got drive it I always say.

95 f150 200k chrismas eve. but i replaced or rebuilt everything at least 1 time the motors got 85k trans 155k great backup truck now for when we are down a vechicle and best part its paid for
