but curious, my 2022 doesnt have this issue. Is this with adaptive cruise control(radar) or is it something new to the 2024’s? The 2022’s have the crash avoidance but does not apply the brakes. What feature is causing this?
I suspect it as was previously pointed out. The ‘23 and later have both front and rear driver assisted braking. It is on with or without adaptive cruise enabled. However, not can be disabled and re-enabled at any time.
These newer trucks with all the cameras and sensors need one. I have been carrying my '23 F350 through the local ShineTime. When I try to pull into the the wheel guides, the truck slams on the brakes...multiple times. I have to override it with the throttle. It's really annoying. Once in the car wash, of course all the sensors are going crazy.
Is there a setting that I haven't found that will temporarily disable all the crash detection and braking?
so even with transmission in neutral there are sensors activating?
Only thing I had happen was the carwash Broke my antenna mount. I now remove the antenna before I go in. The other thing my buddy had happen was that the brush roll took a piece of trim or antenna or something off the car in front of him and beat the crap out of his car with it and broke his panoramic glass roof. Car wash water sprayed down the entire interior of the car.
But that is a super rare issue I'm sure. I usually don't worry about it past the broke antenna in mount issue.

The front automatic front braking activates when pulling into the car wash prior to the wheel conveyor picking up the truck. However, yes even in neutral all of the collision detection sensors are still active and they sense the car was scrubbers as they clean the vehicle.
You take your truck's life in your hands running it through an automated wash rack, had nearly $15K damage done to mine by one when it blew a high pressure hose during the wash.
Get it washed by hand.
Man, I don't believe in luck, karma, or coincidence, but you have an uncanny knack for getting into trouble! CP4 implosion, $15K damage by a carwash, I'm sure there's more - I'd be interested to know
I've driven through several washes, some are good, and one is great, haven't found a bad one yet. I prefer the ones without the double-sided guide for the left tire, they seem smoother for the SD. Armada fits too.
Went back to the car wash today. Yes I know I was just there yesterday, but where I live I have pecan trees and pine trees. Most every morning, my truck windshield and the rest of the truck for that matter are covered in sap this time of year. Anyway, before I pulled into the car was entry I disabled the front brake assist. Worked like a champ. Of course all the other proximity sensors still lit up like a Christmas tree while in the tunnel.
That’s weird that you lost a stubby antenna. I was considering swapping out the 36” or however long it is for a Votex 13”. While I never had a problem with my ‘15 and now my ‘23 OEM antennas, they do get really wound up in the car wash.
I thought was a little strange too. But I never cared for the looks of it for the little time that I had it. So I guess it wasn't a huge loss. I had the stock antenna stuck under the rear seat so I just reinstalled it.

Is this a feature of certain trim levels or options? My 2023 XLT Premium has been to the car wash many times. No braking or anything else activates on this truck.

No idea. May be a part of the 360 camera system, BLIS cross traffic, Pre-Collision assist...
My 2020 sees the automatic car wash at least twice a week. Never had a problem with brakes slamming on or dash lights. Mine is a Lariat Ultimate but no Adaptive Cruise Control.
