i think the tire and rim width needed for 36" tires would be the problem. also i'd take the manufactures suggested tire size with a grain of salt.... you might be able to fit their recommended size if you are only doing a blvd cruiser, but not for off road use.
i know all the manufactures say an 8" lift will fit 38" tires with no problems.... but as i had said in another recent post, mine with 11" of lift just BARELY fits the 38" tires in the dirt.
These guys are right, it's all about suspension travel.
When you compress the front springs you will most likely tear up some sheet metal.
