I have great luck with hawk Super duty pads I upgraded my 2011 due to poor braking performance. The other thing is flush and fill your entire brake system with Dot 5.1. Stock rotors work fine, after the second pad change on my 2011 I replaced them with EBC regular old rotors. My 2018 OEM brakes are better, but I have the hawk super duties in my Amazon cart for purchase in the next few weeks and so I'm close to 80,000, mi and I am due soon. If you are looking for minimal wear on the discs, minimal dust, minimal noise, these are not the pads for you

Powerstop work excellent and have little to no brake dust. I had them on my 2017 F250 and I currently have them on my 2022 F450 and our Honda Odyssey. I would definitely recommend them.

Have a 22 f250 PSD with 170k. Put on Advance Auto, fleet pads. Man do they grip! Might want to try a brake bleed, clean & lube slider pins, & install new pads.

I haven't replaced brakes on the super duty yet, but on my Ram, Bendix Fleet MetLock pads were so much better than anything else I had tried. They are high dust, sometimes noisy (but not usually), grip incredibly hard when cold, and just get better as they heat up. When stopping power is all that matters (like when hauling a big truck camper), they are the ones you want. The pad formula was originally designed for police pursuit cars. As for the other recommendations you mention, I've had lots of problems with Powerstop (backing plates not machined properly, rotors that warped under very little stress, etc...) but I've had good luck with EBC brakes on my cars (and mountain bikes). Haven't tried EBC on a truck.

I second the Bendex Metlock pads. Hand them on my 2011 super duty along with the Raybestos grooved rotors.

I have Powerstops on my Flex, my wife's Focus and used to run them on my F-150. They are excellent brakes. I ran EBC on a Fusion a while back, they bedded nice and worked well on stock rotors, but were dirty. On my F-450 I don't know if I would run Powerstops, but would stick with the stock rotors for the SD. Drilled and slotted would not be a good choice on these trucks. Never had an issue with them, but then a 1/2 ton truck isn't stopping near as much weight. I ran Centric rotors and powerstop pads on the Focus prior to putting the S&D rotors on recently. They lasted at least 100K miles, but did not have the same stopping power the Z23 have with the S&D rotors. Hawk is also a good brand.

I recently put Powerstop Z36 pads and Wagner rotors on my son's '15 F150 and Powerstop Z36 pads on my wife's '19 Tahoe with stock rotors and they both have GOOD brakes now. Very pleased, and definately recommend. Will for sure go with same pads for the F250 when it needs them (or maybe before, getting tired of the factory pad dust).

Downside to Ford pads is the high metal content, they tend to gouge up the rotors. They are also dirty compared to the Powerstops. I had them on the 2012 F350, those KR wheels were a PITA to keep clean.

Has anyone found a good solution for the 23's? The amount of dust is driving me nuts. I've searched and can't find much that fits the 23s. Power Stop seems to only have rotors at the moment.
