Hey all. Got 90 F150 XLT, 5.0 engine. Trying to splice fuel line back together after removing Y's in both the supply and return lines. The Dorman kits I got state to hold the line in hot water for 10 min. Steaming hot water for over ten min. and can't get the barbs in more than 1/4 inch. What am I doing wrong? Or does anyone have a better idea.

Thank you. What is the actual name of it or do you have picture of it? I'm normally over on the 73-79 forum, so I'm totally green to this type of fuel lines.
