Had to have it.

Hello everyone,

I’m excited to join this community of Ford truck enthusiasts. I’m 44 years old and recently bought a 1988 Ford F150. I have to admit, I’m pretty new to the world of vehicle restoration, but this truck holds a special place in my heart.

Back in high school, my dad and I planned to fix up a truck just like this one, but sadly, he passed away before we got the chance. When I saw this truck, it brought back a lot of memories, and I decided to take the plunge and see if I can bring it back to life.

I’m here to learn and share this journey with all of you. I look forward to your advice and support as I work to restore this truck, and I’m sure being part of this community will make the experience even more meaningful.

Thanks for having me!

Welcome to FTE. Sorry that your dad passed away before you two got the chance to restore one. I'm glad you you found this truck to remember him by.

thanks for the kind words. Been out there piddling around on it really makes me feel at peace. Its very nostalgic. Wasn’t sure when I was contemplating on getting it or not how it would make me feel so glad it turned out OK.

Sorry for your loss, and that missed opportunity. The fact that you remember missing this and chose to jump into a project like this says a lot about you and your dad!

Looks like a good one to start with, and there's a lot of aftermarket support for it.

Welcome aboard!
