m5od drive gear teeth?

I have an 82 F150 300 Six with a swapped in m5od from an 89 pickup. (2wd)

My rear axle is 2.75, my tire diameter is 28.88"

I am trying to calculate what Driven Gear I will need as the one I have (19 teeth) reads at least 10 or 15 less than I am actually going.

How can I know how many teeth my Drive Gear has to calculate this?

Any and all help is appreciated

10 or 15 is a big difference. Have you used a GPS or app to try to find out how far off it is really? These gauges never read too accurate to me in stock form either.

It was always 1 tooth for 5 miles an hour at 60 mph
So, if you think you are 15 mph. off at 60 you need a gear that is 3 teeth smaller
Put a 16 tooth gear in it, and it will spin 15.78 percent faster
