I put a rebuilt 351W in my '66 F100. I installed a Holley Sniper 2 and purchased a set of superconductor spark wires from Summit that were to be compatible for that engine.
Problem is that since I replaced the exhaust manifold with headers, the headers come in contact with the straight connectors on the wires.
I would like to remove the straight connectors and put angle connectors on the spark plug ends.
Question: Is it possible to replace connectors on superconductor wires, or is that only a factory operation?
thanks,
Most of those MSD straight boots are made to be bendable to about 45 degrees or so. Though some I think are not. Did you try bending the boot to enough angle to clear the headers?
Otherwise, they sell component kits to terminate the ends yourself. And they sell complete wire kits with just one end terminated so you can build your own length.
You need the stripper and crimp tools as well.
You may run out of wire length after the cutting and stripping. If they were built to fit 'perfectly', I think you would run out of length.
