I've confirmed that both will fit my setup and curious if I should buy the newer one with only a few more kms or the slightly older one with a bit less kms and a bit cheaper?
17k kms vs 20k kms is hardly a difference so go with newer or go with less expensive, what you guys think?
Seems like a no brainer. Both incredibly low mileage and only one year apart. Why spend more than you have to?
See if they'll throw-in the mounting bolts, FTW.
True enough and I believe the bolts I purchased to install my used 2016 gear box will fit either of these units as well and also purchased a Magnafine filter to add to the system when I do the swap 🙂
DANG dude, you still running the stock gear box....wow. How many miles on your rig?

Surprisingly I run 37's and have since new. Within the month of owning I had everything purchased and went to my dad's shop and we knocked it out in a day. Perhaps because I run dual bilstein steering stabilizer it helps longevity or to hide the wear.
I am sure it will be time soon but for now it's fine

I've run the Rancho dual unit before and I have a brand new dual Bilstein unit just sitting here not doing anything lol and I'm 99% sure the dual units put more strain on the steering box and reduce it's service life. If you were to upgrade to the 6.7 box with overdrive pulley I'm sure you'd see a night/day difference, but why fix something that ain't broke I get that
I have learned to drive the truck with the inadequate powered gear box (pre-turning into spots and in reverse etc etc). Maybe down the road I will upgrade stuff but that is at the bottom of my to do list if ever. I am sure if the truck did not have Toyo M/T 37's it would be a different story.
In dirt and gravel it turns while stationary just fine, but on pavement, stationary and the tires digging in.....not so much
I saw the thread on the 6.7 gear box addition and it was a great add.

I forgot what member here did that to his truck?
Anyone have it handy to link it?
thank you
Quite a few guys have done it here and on org and I even posted up a how to, but can't remember where it's posted lol
