Yes, I had the engine remanufactured. I was able to drop in my original distributor. I filed a bit more off the head and the Pertronix still doesnt fit.

Pertronix makes an electronic ignition module that replaces points and sits inside your stock diz. You have to get the # off the backside of your stock unit and give to pertronix to get the correct one. It's on my to do list! Anyone done this mod latelly?
i have installed at least 100 pertronix ignitors over the past 45 years. only had one bad one, and that was rite out of the box which they overnight replaced without me even shipping the old one back.il
