Up to wiring the key/ignition switch with the new wiring kit - of course things are labeled but seldom the same colors so just working through the diagrams and need some validation help - at this point the truck is a shell, engine being built - trying to get some wires in so its not to the point that I can really test much per se. Here are the details:
1973 F100 custom 302 2wd LB - as basic as it comes
Ign switch
21 Yellow - Power - goes to battery side of starter relay
32 - Red/blue - Neutral Safety switch
16 - Red Green - Coil
297 Black/Green - Instrument cluster
977 Purple - Accessories
Is that correct? looking at all the diagrams for a 74 F100 on Fordification (since no 73, I suspect its still all valid) these are what I see with the switch wires...Anyone know anything different, do I have something switched?
The black with green stripe is giving me the most stress - its either listed in the diagrams and runs all over or its not listed as Black with green stripe but something else - In the fordinfication wiring diagrams it should be 297 coming off the ignition switch. It really comes down to the black/green and the purple - one is the accessories and the other is the instrument cluster...I keep waffliing on which is which
