I have a 2023 F350 Tremor purchased new 1/22/24. The traction control button has never worked from Day 1. It's been to the dealer 3 times. First they said some reprogramming was needed. I don't recall which modules. That didn't work.
Next they said it was traction control button itself. Replaced that and problem not solved. Then an ******** service advisor said that I'd made some changes to some modules (FORScan but I never told them anything about it) that I'd corrupted something and that Ford would do nothing warranty wise. I would have to pay out of pocket. I told that guy I wasn't paying a cent and that I'd live without the ability to turn traction control off first. A couple of weeks later I received a call from the service manager telling me that the guy had no standing to make those comments to me and had been fired. He also said that they'd been communicating with Ford engineering to solve the problem and that they would get to the bottom of things at no cost to me.
Today it went in to get some modules tested and possibly updated in another attempt to solve the problem. It wasn't specified which ones. Later in the day they call to say they found the problem. The instrument cluster has to be replaced. They need the truck 3 days for it. They order the part the day the truck comes in. I'm guessing they have to order the cluster with my mileage pre programmed into it. The truck cannot leave their facility so that the mileage will remain the same as when the truck rolled in. The part will arrive and I'll get the truck 2 days after bringing it in.
I have no complaints with this dealer other than the one jackass advisor. They've kept me in the loop. They tell me that mine isn't the first truck they've done this with. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem and had to get a cluster replaced. That's all I'm trying to find out. I don't need bluster stories of how guys would have gone in and demanded this and that and told people where to get off.
I would assume you did one of those surveys and let them know the errors of their ways? At any rate good that your patience has paid off.
I too have heard of the replacements.
No surveys have come my way throughout this issue. So far I feel that I've been treated fairly and they've been straight with me. Except for the one knucklehead of course.
If it created a driveability issue I may have pressed a little harder. I hate traction control in the winter months so it's not a problem for me now. I want to be able to turn it off when the snow comes.
I just had mine in for the instrument cluster recall and backup camera recall. They kept the truck three days. Odometer mileage was the same in and out. I didn't notice any changes other than losing the "my view" settings. Never had a problem with the cluster - or the traction control for that matter.

I've had no cluster issues, only the inability to turn off traction control. No one has ever made me aware of any recalls for this truck.
