Electronics Upgrades?
If you wanted all that stuff you would have been way better off buying a different truck.
SIRIUSXM is easy, they make add on devices that add it to any factory radio.
But, I thought even base XLT had SIRIUSXM in the radio, just needs a subscription to activate it.
I'd guess that backup sensing and lane keeping would be more of a project and expense than they're worth. At least for me they would be.
As for the lane keeping and backup assist, those usually require several components, including sensors and cameras that you might not have and are costly to add after the fact. I don't know if the wiring for those devices is there, you'll definitely need to have the features activated in the computer because they'll currently be turned off.
As said above, just about anything can be added, but a lot of it is cost-prohibitive after assembly. For instance, the fifth wheel/gooseneck puck system is a pretty cheap add-on from the factory, but adding it after the fact is labor-intensive and expensive if you don't do it yourself, because the bed has to come off. On my wife's Ram 1500, she wanted to add the LED headlight upgrade because her truck didn't come with it, but to do it requires adding an auxiliary wiring harness, all new bezels, and programming...or I can just buy her LED bulbs which is the route I'm going to go.
So it depends on if you REALLY like the truck or not. If you do, you can add anything to it, but it sounds like, with the features you want to add, you likely should have looked for a different truck before buying, as the features you're wanting to add are probably going to be costly, moreso than if it had been added to the truck during assembly.
someone on here did add SiriusXM to a 23 XL if I recall. Lane Keep Assist is probably cost prohibitive as it requires all of the electronic assisted steering components .
The loss of SXM going from my 18 XLT to my 23 XL was a disappointment to me at first, but the CarPlay App has worked quite well.
