Need help , I have a 1995 F350 with a 7.3 diesel.
Cruising down the highway 65-70 truck starts to over rev then kicks hard back into gear . Startling immediately thought Trans was slipping . Take it to the shop , pulled trans and had rebuilt .
Okay back on the road same thing happens , this is very intermittently but again it happens . This could be a week apart driving daily . TPS has been changed , harness and sensors on trans been changed , ICV etc… Still same occurrence , sometimes it feels as if a flat spot when accelerating , even has had problem down shifting going around corner ( lugging ) .
Truck shows no codes , Mechanic thinks it an accelerator pedal assembly . I can’t find one around here and need some help finding one in Good Condition .
it can be out of a 94 or 95 F250 / 350 .
Part # is F5TZ -9F836 A . Only these 2 yrs .
Please need so help !!
There are a few used ones on Ebay
There is also a couple of new aftermarket ones on there that should also work for yours
95-97 only as I see it
Good luck
116137853991 is the used one on Ebay
I see the tamper proof torx bolts on the TP sensor
I would sure be looking to just replace the TP on your pedal to start with
I was thinking it might be a MLPS issue. Would not be the first time someone rebuilt a good transmission because of an electrical problem only to still have the same issue.
