2020 F-250 6.7 diesel (03/20 build date)
This has happened to me at least 4 times (twice today)... While cruising in 10th, the truck will feel like I have released the accelerator pedal. So I pressed the pedal and I get nothing, I even floored it. It finally started responding after I completely took my foot off, then pressed pedal again multiple times. I've also had, what feels like, the trans missing a gear completely while accelerating (not skipping a gear, like free revving) Scares the crap out of me having to think about trying to pass someone and my truck will randomly decide not to respond.
My 2020 F-250 7.3 gas (45k miles, 2/2020 build) has recently started to behave that as soon as it shifts into 10th (around 40-45 MPH), it feels like it loses power. It doesn't slow down, it just feels like pushing a wet noodle. Pushing down on the throttle gets no response. Stomping on the pedal eventually seems to wake it up, and it shifts down to 7 or 8 and starts to accelerate. It's unnerving to say the least. The transmission overall has started to become more laggy and jerky like someone who can't drive a stick shift. Have a service appointment to look into it but the problem is intermittent. One dealer has looked at it but didn't fix the problem.
edit: the second dealer I went to acknowledged that it was a problem, but didn’t have availability in their shop yet to tear down and investigate further. I will update when I know more.
