fuel recirculation modification
'93 f150 4x4 SC 115000 mi., got notice in mail , long ago, about recirulction problem back to tank and how one tank can overflow and spill. One tank seemed to get more gas in it while useing the other tank, ford made the mods, got another notice about a mod, I think OM-1, if this still was happening, I thought it was still showing gaining gas in one tank (may have just been bad ground on gas tank) so I took it in and they made the mod. Not long after that, about a year ago, I noticed bad gas mileage and then missing, running lean I suppose. Now it sounds like I have a rod bearing problem. Am I paranoid or could these be related? What was the fix for the recirculation porblem, did Ford allow more fuel to be dumped into the cylinder, was the fuel recirculated back to the fuel tank with this mod. I'm trying to understand why this would happen. Very discouraged, afraid to fix it and have the same thing happen again. What to do? I appreciate any insight. -- Ed
