Why two different plugs? Ford's electronic ignition setup.
Rather than go thru it all.......
I remembered a thread from some time ago, so I went searching.
Here is is: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...ouble+platinum
It gives some good info on plugs.
Thanks.
SIDE NOTE: from my experience, 100,000 miles on Platinum plugs is a
s t r e t c h.
I now prefer copper plugs.
I tried those JBA wires, and they worked great. The only problem I had was that they fit so tight on the plug at the metal clip, that they would pull the wire out of the boot when I tried to remove them. I tried dielectric grease, and I only pulled from the boot itself, but they were very tight. I would trial fit them outside the truck, and if too tight, I would try to pry the clip open a little bit to gain clearance.
