Anyone have a bed mounted spare kit? My truck need some type of spare hold-down, along with a spare. I'm not a fan of the factory under bed spare. Seems like I'm always laying in snow or water to access it, and I've had one break (chain type)
I'm going to get that kit from LMC. I may modify it with a reinforcement metal strip like the factory Ford unit has. I'm planning to install 255/85R16 tires, aprox 50 pounds each, along with a 40 lbs wheel. That bracket is probably 10 pounds. So yeah, I could see that small plate on the LMC kit rip out in an impact
