Hey guys im new to the forum.. im looking for a set of 1976 f250 crewcab original metal in decent good shape fender emblems that say Crew cab not crew cab special... mine are damaged and have small dents and the thin metal plates that says crewcab seperated and i pasted it back.. also looking for a set of original crewcab aluminum running boards as in the pic also.. thanks guys let me know what you have.. p.s not the cheap new chinese plastic emblems from national parts depot lol
What I did when I put my crew cab together was I very carefully peeled the decal/insert out of the cheap plastic NPD badges and then transplanted them into a set of camper special emblems. The camper special emblems are the same as the crew cab emblems other than the insert. At least to me it was easier to peel up the inserts from the camper special emblems than do it to my rough original crew cab emblems.
The only under cab "running boards" I ever had / seen were aluminum from aftermarket, like DeeZee ... I had a set on my regular cab but had built steel under bracing, and I had bought but never installed second set as was gonna use them under the front half of the bed. They were bought at a surplus Sears outlet in the '80s cheaply, the ones on the truck tarnished in time, but I may someday revisit putting the new set on in place as they did keep mud / dirt / etc off the cab. I've seen them online.

I have a 390... also beautiful collection restore all of them they deserve it... also are those the factory original? Kinda like the foot shorter ones but those are really cool.. how much would you want? I would pay shipping..

There were never any factory running boards for these trucks, dealers likely installed plenty but not the factory. There was a glide out step offered by ford but that may have been a dealer install as well. I’ve ended up with a small collection of moderately rough crews over the last few years. With what they bring these days and as uncommon as they are unless the truck is really bad it’s worth saving. I hadn’t really thought about the fate of those running boards until this evening. I’ll shoot you a PM about them at some point.

amd also by chance would you happen to have any original full body race track trim for a crew cab? Mine is short bed.. would.love to get some trim on mine..

It has the flap which doubled as the front hanger for the running board, and rear matching flaps. Several sold them, various lengths, mine were about exact like these, but I got mine at a steel back then. As I recall, I maybe cut mine from longer ones. The front flap gets a bend at the bottom of the fender opening where it attaches to the running board. This is just a sample, there are others shown. I had no idea they fetch that much now.
There may be others? Mine I know are too short for a CC. This is closer, before the big redo of 2021/2023. Truck is solid white now, uses CARR Super Hoops now, no race track or dent trim but does have all stainless steel trim rings and caps.
My narrow trim is long gone. I kept the wider dent portion, but it's in need of a lot of work.
