260f alternator temp?
260f alternator temp?
My 18 month old Bosch 135a alternator with smaller pulley wheel is reading 250f-265f on top cover and 330ish f inside via thermal gun after only 5 minutes of idling and I'm going to venture that's too hot yes? It's 100.4f ambient temp right now fwiw. Unit doesn't smell like it's burning, but my voltage numbers are a tad lower than they were when it was new so I'm guessing it's replacing time yeah?
Should I just get a 180a unit and forgo the smaller pulley?
Thanks 🙂
