I will be heading out on a long trip soon and decided to make sure I had the correct spare fuses. It’s pretty frustrating that the owner’s manual tells you the fuse amperage and what it’s used for, but not the type of fuse. I had to physically check all of them to figure out the type. Micro2, Slotted Mcase & Low Profile Jcase in the under-hood panel. Micro2 and Micro3 in the BCM fuse panel. I couldn’t find a kit with all these, had to buy three seperate kits.
I havent had to replace any fuse in any of my last 10 vehicles going back to 1996.......many many miles driven. If a fuse blows there's a concerning overcurrent situation going on, and replaced fuse will likely blow again. That said I still pack a bunch of fuses along with a multimeter in my travels.
Water pumps, fuel pumps, alternators, coil packs, starters, radiators, its a different story. Much harder to pack all these as spares isn't it.
If some dude assembled a complete 2022 gas superduty specific fuse and relay set on ebay, I'd be looking at it.
Thanks for the list!! I also tried to figure out which type of fuses were in my 22 F-250, in certain positions, when I did a couple of mods earlier. Bought a couple of packs based on the names in the OM. That didn't work very well. Ended up not needing any spares but I still want to gather a kit for our trip to Alaska. Appreciate the links also.
Just went through this process a few weeks ago on my 2019 F350 6.7l.
My rear 12vdc outlet quit working and I checked and the fuse had blown.
I was lucky all the fuses listed in my owners book/manual had the specific type and rating.
So I double checked the fuse panel under the hood and also on the passenger side legroom area to see which fuses I actually were using as the manual lists every possible fuse for all option’s available.
When I replaced the bad fuse I made a list of spares I could possibly need and loaded them up in a small plastic case I had and now they rest under my front middle storage area in case I ever need them.
