All,
I had code p025b and finally narrowed it down to the pcm. Van has a new fuel pump, ford Fuel pump driver module, rebuilt pcm and a new throttle body.
PCM fixed the p025b but when pcm was installed I lost throttle pedal and it idles poorly. I have NO pedal at all and am throwing p2112 code. This codes points to a throttle body but a new throttle body did not fix this.
The pcm company said it needs the as built programming reloaded but a local shop "did" this and it didn't work but I think they are full of crap.
can anyone help me with this!?!?!?! It's for a lady that uses the van to haul around her 8 kids and I'm trying to save her the money of the shop that wants $800 to change the throttle body.
I agree, the processor must be matched to the truck for the trans etc.
Have the local dealer do it
Then they can tell you if it's the correct processor and if it will work
It runs, so it kind of works now
Three different ford dealers and about 20 shops said they couldn't do it. So I finally found a shop that took pity on the owner and took it on. Ended up needing a pcm and throttle body (so they say but I changed the throttle body already).
so... it's fixed and running so I'm done with it! Praise the Lord it's fixed.
Sweet
Some of those dealer guys are not worth their salt
They are looking for low hanging fruit is all
You confront them with an actual big problem, and they run
