This is a computer altered picture of a 2000 Excursion. If this gets your blood boiling like it does mine, then send me a post to shadetree351@home.com or respond to this message board and let me know that you think Ford should start producing an Excursion with a short wheelbase like this one. I've already forwarded over 230 messages to Ford, straight to one of their 4X4 Super Duty platform engineers. He wants to see this happen, but he needs our help. We needs lots and lots of messages from the public requesting that Ford do this. So PLEASE help. Thank you.

I've asked you to stop hitting our boards like this in private email. Now, I'm not asking and I'm not doing it privately. Stop posting the same request repeatedly or you will no longer be allowed to post. We got the message the first 2 times you plastered several of the forums. And lastly, Netiquette would dictate that you not link to 600k BMP images that 2-3 minutes to download with those who have modems.
Actually Shadetree, I liked the idea of a new Bronco with the Superduty front clip. But after seeing this picture I am turned off on the idea. It could just be from the overload of aftermarket crap piled on this truck, though. Sure wish this truck was a base model with a stock SD suspension and some factory wheels.
I know what ya mean, bro, but that was all I had to work with, since a friend sent me this one. But, I do have another pic, w/o all the aftermarket stuff. Check this out:

This, again, is a computer altered picture of a 2000 Excursion, except this time it's from a Ford brochure. I think the artist did lift it a little over the original, but otherwise, it is unchanged. Thanks for your suggestion. I hope this 'new pic' generates lots of comments for Ford. Thanks for responding to my message.

No interest on my part. As wide as the Excursion/Super Duty is, it needs some wheelbase for balance.
The width is what kills you on smaller roads. You can't get around width if you just don't fit between rocks or trees. But I've learned ways to navigate a long wheelbase vehicle in some pretty tight spots, avoiding high centering etc. I did a lot of 4wheeling in my old crew cab F350.
