I was wondering if anyone had any luck with a brand of rear cab corners that at least somewhat fit. I have tried LMC (which was the best so far) and CJ’s and that was the worst. I am working on 70 Ford. Let me know thanks!!
Auto Metal Direct (AMD) is a premier manufacturer of high-quality restoration parts
I bought a gas tank from Auto Metal Direct & it was excellent quality with excellent paint & claimed rust inhibitor
Shipping was extremely low & no freight charge like Carpenter's adds!!!
That gave me a good deal because I had some trouble with the install
As of a year+++ or more ago they had very reasonably/low prices
As of now I defiantly will do more business with them...........
I have seen there parts shown on Television & mentioned here on Ford-Trucks..............hope this helps............

AMD has a 20 oversize charge...better known as "freight charge"
They never mentioned , or charged me ! Now maybe they added one to others at a later date , or now.......or it does not apply to gas tanks. Maybe I was charged an oversize , but do not think so, now it was several dollars which I expected because it was a gas tank , but I was very happy with the amount whatever it was..........
I do know shipping was way lower than Carpenter's .
Oversize sometimes means cost for bigger box & packing and still mails non-freight.......
Freight many times means freight , actual shipping by large trucks, ships...Teamsters...etc.......reason/excuse for more money from buyer !!!
$20.00 overcharge is mucho better than $99.99 freight charge, on top of regular shipping charge I believe Carpenter's adds.......
If looking for patch panels I used TabCo https://tabcoparts.com/
And was vary happy how they fit my 81 F100.
Floors, rockers, cab corners, rear door posts and weather strip lip at the bottom of the door opening.
Oh also the inner and outer lower part of the left door.

One short-coming I have with AutoMetalDirect (AMD) is I was on their site recently & I think there parts were maybe 20ga steel. I do think I just looked last week or so
at their floor pans & they are 20 gauge. To me this is on the cheap side.
Well , I want original gauge I
Their gas tank I got is great
I bought Tabco sheet metal for my 85 Bronco and they are pretty decent quality.
Not sure of the gauge but it was equivalent to the original piece and it has an anti corrosion coating on it too.
The staff is responsive and the field guy actually returned a phone call and worked with me to reduce shipping costs by consolidating as much as possible.

I also got a call as some of the parts I ordered over lapped and he told me what ones I should drop and others to get.
He also sent some flat sheet I could use as a filler if needed.
You dont find that a Co. will call and say you dont need something to save the customer money and loose a sale and you did with shipping.
They dont carry any thing for my next project or I would have it here already.
