Well, I was showing my friend the new intake on my escort tonight, and I got pulled over. I was going 62 or 63 in a 55. The cop didn't actually tell me how fast I was going. I saw the lights flashing behind me, and my heart sank. He told me I was pulled over for speeding and asked me where I was going, so I told him that I was showing my friend the new intake, (he was next to me) and that I was heading home. So that cop went back to his car, iced me for 5 or 10 mintues, then came back and luckly gave me a verbal warning. It scared the crap outta me. It was my first time getting pulled over, so I was really nervouse. My friend told me that I was really shaking, and stutterd a little after we got back on the road. When I was pulled over, I made sure to tell my friend to put his hands where the cop could see them, I put mine on the steering wheel, and I was respectful and told the truth. I think that the fact that I was respectful, they way I acted when pulled over, and that I told the truth helped me in this one. There is my lesson learned.
Thats the best thing to do is use the same respect you wish to be given and tell him the truth, after all the cop is just doin his job in keepin the roads safe!!
Ya, the best thing to do would be to keep your hands where they can seem them. Cops get real nervous when they can't see whats going on inside the car. I've never been pulled over (knock on wood) but I know the day will come. My mom has been pulled over several times for speeding, and all those times she got let off with a verbal warning.
I have a funny story about getting pulled over...I was heading home from wheeling and i see the flashing lights.. apparently, my tail lights had died... the cop looked over my truck, it was filthy... he then saw my sticker that says"little boy wear Bow Ties"..
walks up to me hands me a written warning.. said if it was a chevy, i would have gotten like a $200 fine(loud exhaust, inadequate fender flares and no tail lights..

Never drive on a holiday if you can help it!
I had a whale of time obeying rule # 43.. I was unclear on the total restriction, so I did not even go outside yesterday.. Can I go out yet, or should I give it another day.?
If you look back real close, you had a very warm feeling come over you while talking .
Right ?
I remember the 1st time I was pulled over in my 52 Auistin with flip out signal arms.
The cop had apparently kept look at the back light and not seeing a signal ...pulled me over for not signalling my turns.
I'm sure he felt like an idiot when I moved the signalling device over and out pops the signal arm (which is attached just between the front door & rear door in the pillar.)
I used to have a '59 Jaguar that had those silly little signal flags on the side.. I disabled them and wired up the brake lights at the back, and put brighter bulbs in the parking lights, and used them.. At least people could see what I wanted to do. Which Version Austin did you have, Dennis. I had an A35, an *** and an Ambassador over the years. neat little cars, all of them. Oh, I had an A30 van once, that broke in half with me driving it.

I can understand if it was a windy road, but open highway? Sounds like Johnny Lawman was looking for a drunkard.
XXL
It was an open highway, just before coming towards town. Town was probably 2 miles away. There wasn't hardly anyone else out, except the deputy I guess. A nice straight stretch of road. The funny thing is, I drive that road a little further down everyday. Never had any trouble. Oh well, I got a warning, and not a ticket which makes me happy.
I havnt gotten pulled over Y E T .. BUT.. I dont have my lic yet.. Just my permit.. So i obey all laws ( have to drive with parents ) I think it would be embarsing getting pulled over with your parents in the car
