I hope someone can help. Heres my problem- I have an 89 f150 inline six. It idles and runs really rough. I have changed the plugs,wires,cap and rotor put in 2 cans of injector cleaner. Still runs terrible. When I pulled the plug wires (one at a time)lol I found when I pulled #5 nothing happened. I pulled #5 plug and found it to wet, leading me to believe possibly #5 fuel injector might be bad. If this is the problem what would be the easiest and cheapest solution to fix it? Thanks for any help.

By depressurizing the fuel line, there should only be a couple of bolts holding the fuel rail on, then you may replace the injector. Try puting a good plug in the #5 wire and lay in on the engine. Start it up and make sure that it is firing and that the plug wire is not bad.

I already did the plug thing, I've swapped plugs and wires to no avail. Do I need to pull the air plenum in order to get to the fuel rail? If I do it scares the HE-- out of me,Vacuum hoses,wires thing-a-jigs etc.
