Has a hard shift from 1st to 2nd
I did check all the fuses, hard to read the panel so I looked at them all. Did not find a bad one.
I am thinking the trace or wire opened up on the cluster itself, so I pulled it out. I really need to verify that this is the issue before I send it off. How can I verify the voltage or signal is coming up to the back if it? I checked my wiring diagram and did not get much from it. I assume there is a pin that I can read a voltage on one of the plug/harness.
Any suggestions on how and where I can verify the unit needs to be sent of for repair?
You're using the wrong wiring diagram. The pages you posted are for the engine ECU wiring, not the instrument panel wiring.
You're interested in fuse 8 and 18, since that is your keep-alive memory power and your main instrument power.
On the Speedo/odo connector (the small one), pin 1 will have 12v at all times. Pin 3 will have 12v with the key in the 'run' position. Pin 2 will be your chassis ground.
Thanks guys, I was certain I was not following correctly. I appreciate the diagram and will give it a look to see if I can double check that the PSOM is bad or not.
