Hey guys I’ve pulled my cam out and tried to hammer the gear off, I know it was a bad idea lol. But anyway the plate broke and because I have no puller and don’t trust the eBay parts I went to a junkyard and pulled another cam and gear. I took this cam and gear to a machine shop to have it pressed out and they broke it too, kinda funny. But the shop is trying to make one on a cnc machine and I’m wondering how perfect is has to be, they made one the same thickness but not the exact shape, I’ll attach a picture here too so you can see. I’m pretty sure it will work just fine as it’s the same thickness so the end play should be good I just don’t know about the shape can someone help me out here
Well, You got me beat. . . I only broke one thrust plate when I took mine apart.
I think you are fine with a reasonably close shape and correct thickness.
Not an expert, but I can give uninformed affirmation of your choice with the best of them!
