1978 Ford F-150 Engine Identification

Just purchased this 1978 Ford recently and am unfamiliar with their engines. So I need some help identifying exactly what I have in mine. I believe it’s a 351 but not 100% positive.

According to your VIN and the decal on your valve cover the original engine your truck came with from the factory was a 400. Do you know is your engine still original to the truck?

Honestly I didn’t ask when buying it. I was told it was a 351 but I also noticed the sticker on the valve cover too and it threw me off.

Welcome fellow Texan. Looks like you have acquired a very nice, unmolested truck. Great find.
