So I need to replace the side mirrors on my 97 250. The ones on my truck currently are like the ones pictured above. I have a pair of OEM ones in my garage but the top bracket is reversed. Will they bolt on or no? Also does anyone know the story of what years/trim came with what style?
If I understand correctly, there is no aftermarket mirror that is identical to the originals. The do bolt up and fit fine, but as you have discovered, the bracket is reversed.

A couple years ago we cleaned out my late uncle's estate he was a former Ford employee in Dearborn and my dad said he had a couple old Broncos/F series trucks through his lifetime. Found a good handful of ome trim and other misc parts including a few mirrors. I have one I got from the estate exactly like the first picture as well as a pair like these here. This is just a pic I pulled from Google though.
You may have just put yourself on the most hated list if you have some new OEM mirrors! Half of us are going to invite you to Christmas, the other half are planning a heist!

Lol unfortunately today i went out and checked and they are all drivers side mirrors. I got two of the low mount ones and one of the high mount ones. The high mount one is currently on my 97 F250 though. So I guess I am also on the hunt for a set or at least a really nice passenger one, preferably a high mount.
