Dash ***** and their Control Cables

I spent some time trying to figure out my dash ***** and especially the ones connected to control cables.

I have one **** that is Not Marked, it pulls out and in just fine. I was not able to figure out what it's control cable is connected to though.

I also found the opposite end of one cable that was strapped in with some wires on the fire wall, (see attached). I took a picture of that end cable with that unmarked **** in the IN Position, then I took another picture of that cable end with that unmarked **** all the way OUT. Both the end cable pictures looked the same so apparently this unmarked **** does Not control the disconnected controls cable. (I am looking for a Head Scratcher Emoji for this one).

This is all I've got for this one at the moment.

Choke Cable... good to know. Thank You

Benbuilder: Yes, I would like to buy the 3 prong plug, that is just like mine as I suspect heavy corrosion inside of it, that goes to the horn relay.

Also, probably one of those sets of 2, pull levers with bracket. And I believe there was one more thing you showed me that you have that I may need for this truck.

The leftmost one on the right of the steering column isn't original. It would have been a blank plate originally. Someone took that plate out and put something in there. You should be able to trace it from the backside I'd think.

The pic is of my 262ci 6cyl. Not sure what you have. The unmarked control **** may be for a throttle advance for use with a PTO or the like. I do not have the cable, but I do have the arm for it. When the lever is pulled back towards the cab, it will advance the throttle. I'm not sure if I have the anchor for the cable housing that's needed to make the cable work?

In the pic, upper you will see my throttle linkage rod and arm, just in front and a little left you will see a lever with a screw on top of it. I think that is where your cable in question may go if you have something like this on your throttle linkage near the carb.

Just a thought, hope it helps,
Tom

I spent a little time focusing on the Dash ***** and their cables...

This is my truck. with extra **** holes even.

This truck came with Air Conditioning under the dash on both ends. One control **** for it on the driver side and it works, moves the door open and closed but no fan running, I will see how the A/C works when driving down the road. (BTW... I was kidding about A/C, I am fully aware they are air vents lol)

The passenger side has a hole for a control **** but apparently it was not installed on this truck

What would the HEAT **** control in this truck?
What would it's cable go to? (If I were to install it along with this TEMP **** onto a bracket).

I am guessing that a previous owner had broken the end off the TEMP control cable and so relocated the TEMP **** so it would reach properly?
