Correct carb?

ok is there a conversion kit? Cuz I already bought and installed it. Runs better. BUT won’t shift

You still have the old carb? If so what does the linkage arm look like and can it be retro-fitted to the new carb or the new carb be modified so it looks like the old carb? The problem is the ratio of how much the transmission cable is pulled versus how far open the throttle is. If you could copy that it should work.

unfortunately when I got the truck it was essentially a roller. I will try the lokar cable as suggested above tho

Here's the instructions for it. Looks like you will need to fab up or try to buy a bracket for the carb also.
