Hi! I was driving for about an hour then the ABS Light came on. I stopped and checked my brake fluid and it was fine (at max). I had brakes so I continued driving home. What our the symptons that could have caused this light to come on? How can I fix this myself? Thanks for who-ever can help me.
i had this problem i was at first directed to replace the vss mounted in the rear pumpkin.then reset comp.however long i left the battery off while replacing it 15-30 min.still resulted in a stored code.on pcm.
i reset pcm by removing ground battery cable and all wires that were connected to battery ground post.and heres the misunderstood part that all i tell this too
feel unsure and call me crazy for reccomending this.but it works and doesn't harm anything.
take the removed terminal and with a wrench touch the positive terminal with the ground.it won't make any noise or spark the ground post from the battery is not connected to the truck.this will clear any stored codes.
replace negitive terminal to battery and start.
i have to do this every time i change tire size.it wasn't the sensor it was going from 28" drag radials back to 30.5" street tires that causes the abs sensor and rabs comp to think somethings wrong
