I can't find details about the egr system on my 1992 F350 460; routing, vacuum lines, components, etc. What does the engine need for the EGR to work? I'm getting detonation under load and am thinking it's from the EGR not functioning correctly. The very simple schematic I have doesn't say what each component is and I can't find a more detailed assembly schematic. I found a crack in this part shown, but don't know if it's part of the EGR or just the smog pump.
Correct, that is the thremactor air injection system. Those are the one way valves, and the diverter valve pictured
