I converted my 1977 F150 factory a/c truck to r134a. I understand that the condenser is on the small side for the conversion, so it does not cool the r134a as good a r12, but only saw one size available for the truck. It was about 90 degrees out yesterday when I charged the system.
The system does blow cold, but not ice cold. The question I have is, will adding a second fan, like an electric aux fan to the condenser allow it to cool more? In theory it sounds like it should work better than just the factory clutch fan setup. I know on newer vehicles they added a second fan specifically for the a/c system, so I thought this could me my next step.
