1975 F750 rag joint replacement
I recently bought a 1975 F750 dump truck to haul some gravel for my driveway. There is about a half turn worth of slop in the steering wheel that I wanted to tighten up before hauling 26000 pounds down the road

Its the 2wd with power steering and air brakes.
Upon investigation, I think I found a main culprit. The rag joint is completely shredded, and my quest to find a replacement has stalled.
I can find rag joints for the smaller trucks 350 and lower, but nothing else. Anyone know the best place to locate a new one? Will rag joints for the smaller trucks from the same year range work?
Thanks!
Pic of the shredded joint:
That is a kind of shoulder bolt ("pin"), which is threaded/fastened to the box's cast yoke. It's a solid connection to the box input shaft that way. (there's two of them, 180° apart)
That pin section near the bottom engages the rag; the pin section at the top will normally not do anything, but when the rag material dies off, the stamped yoke at the lower end of the column captures the pin, and as a result you might get 1/8 turn slop, but not 1/2.
Definitely replace what you know is bad (that joint) but look for your excess slop elsewhere.
