Anyone know how to shut the ebrake light off? Ebrake works fine just the light is stuck on and It’s driving me nuts, I heard about a button for the brake being stuck and that It’s common on the obs fords but I can’t find a switch or button and can’t find anything about it on google, don’t wanna have to take the bulb out, I wanna actually fix it lol
Uh, that light has 2 functions. 1) ebrake light 2) brake system malfunction. Perhaps you have a leak in your hydraulic system? Have you checked your fluid?

I found out what it was. Was low on fluid. It was carb swapped so the computer is no longer in it so I didn’t think the light would come on for that, learn something new everyday

What would the computer that controls the engine have to do with the hydraulic brake system?

in my head the computer would trigger the light when low on fluid, as I thought the brake had It’s own switch and was stuck as someone told me that was the most likely possibility, my first carbureted truck so probably stupid to think but hey, you learn something new everyday.

no, the switch on the reservoir or the switch on the pedal are the two inputs to that. on old enough trucks, there would be a proportioning valve that would have an internal switch that would also set it
