Float for fuel sending unit

Anyone know where I can find one for my 61 f100? The ones I found online are rediculously priced. I took the unit out and took it to 2 auto parts stores and they said they dont carry any floats. I called the Ford dealer parts department and he told me his books only go back to 1980.

You would not by chance have the napa part number would you? I just left there and they could not find one listed.

A torch and some solder may be able to fix up one that leaks. Of course, I would purge any old gas first.

Thanks to all who responded. I found one at classic industries for $9.30. Says they are the same from 1957 to 1986 if that may help someone in the future.
