Got tired of things going wrong on my 2004 F-150 Heritage with 230,000 miles and traded for a beautiful 2017 F-150 Crew Cab XLT. I love it and it is super nice but I am learning how things work. The electronic parking brake is cool and I have been using it and want to be sure of not damaging it. I forgot to release it and when I had went about six inches it went off. Is this a feature built into the system? I would not just use that as a release but it would be nice if it does work that way. I will be into the habit of releasing it the proper way soon but I fear if my wife would use the truck she would not think of that. Jim.
Congrats on your new truck. Yes, drive and go, it will automatically release. Enjoy your new to you truck, many cool features, check out the manual or find some basic Utube videos.

I am very excited over this new to me truck, the newest vehicle I ever owned was the 2004 so lots of new stuff. I have been watching and learning lots of stuff from youtube and the over 500 page owners manual. It is so cool when I wash it and spray under the fender wells and there is no rust, that was an absolute it had to be a 2014 or later. Jim.
