This is what I did on my 2006 truck. Sold that truck, saved these and moved them to the 2024. I was surprised to find that the bed on the new aluminum truck box is several inches narrower than the old steel box. And with the Ford bed liner, 2x stock didn't fit the grooves very well either. I had to cut the dividers down and chamfer the edges to make them fit. But, 18 years later, these bed dividers are still doing the job for me. Buying some plastic thing just isn't my style.

I too had to make adjustments to mine when I moved them to my 2017 250
I was bummed the one I made for the front of my 2011 would not even work for the 2017. That one was very useful in keeping stuff up at the front from sliding back.
I used to have a divider made from a 2x10 before I bought a set of swing out bedside tool boxes. Now I use one of the HF ratcheting cargo bars, which fits up under the front end of the tool boxes.
