Bed Divider/Cargo Gate

Does anyone use something similar to this part in their F-250 bed?
This one fits into the box link but says not for a F-250 and I cannot find anything else that doesn't require some other system to be installed.

Ford OEM Part No: FL3Z-9900092-A

With those little ribs in the lower rear quarter of the bed..... You can mount one like this. It is called the "Conifer Keeper". I can have one fabricated for you for about $94.95 (I need to check my son's rates). $10 flat rate shipping in the US. I am still waiting on the specs but so far it has held anything I needed, no problem. The nice thing is that it's highly removable. Also, replacements can be purchased by existing customers at nearly 50% discount... .$49.95. Anyway, send me a msg if interested.

Wow - what about finish options? Color matched to my truck? I'd probably pay another hundred to protect it against rusting. Maybe some heavy duty eyebolts for $30 each? Nice work. What about a storage rack for my garage when I take it out? Again, color matched is important...

I think we should petition for a group buy...however some trucks have spray liner. Will the cost be similar?

If my truck did not have the factory bed ramps I might be persuaded into what the OP linked too. I would like to secure 700lbs of ballast for my snow plowing application.

Gotta love it...every forum has a resident smart a** with nothing to do but troll.

Yep I'd thought of that too but figured I might actually want to use some of the features I payed for on the truck.

Conifer Keeper (CK) uses a proprietary nanotechnology coating process that protects against rust, harmful UV and atmospheric conditions including acid or purple rain. They are able to match any color under the rainbow.

The 10" CK in the pic above is an unfinished base model I obtained for field testing purposes. There are options for storage racks, tie down points, and the latest in led lighting.

I have only found 2 issues with CK thus far:
1) FORD designed the box link attachment points directly above one of the rib sections on the bed making it difficult to install the 10" CK with the box link units installed. So much an issue for the 6" or 8" CK models.
2) The bed step on the tailgate is so high that it's difficult to get in the bed which is almost required to install or remove the CK.
Both of these are FORD SD design flaws and of course no fault of the superior CK product. Maybe FORD will make enhancements on the 2018 or subsequent models that will only further enhance the application of the CK.

OK ....... apology for derailing..... simply couldn't resist.

My son (who cut the board for me with his miter saw) couldn't believe I was going to stick an $8 board in this truck as a bed divider. Actually, it has been great for gas cans, tool boxes, milk crates with gear, etc.

But, I do like the idea about PTM. I might see if I can find my white paint this weekend . Prolly start with some Kilz (premium of course)

My initial thought was a 2x8 but it looks like a 2x10 would fit better.

The LY (Lumber Yard) Bed Divider is the best route to take. I made two of these for my 2011. The only negative with our 2017+ beds is the front no longer has slots for a divider ;boo.

Here is mine...

Attachment 287295

I cannot take credit for the design; I saw pictures on another thread in the forum. The holes with bolts work great for bungee attachment points and they line up with the box links so I can bungee the board out of the way and still have it with the truck when I need it.

Can you do a close up picture of the holes with bolts? Curious what you did there.

Close ups and details

The board is just a 2x8. I cut four slots into the board, and used a router to round each one. I drilled and countersunk holes for a lag bolt. The lag bolt is covered by 1/2" cpvc pipe to make for an easy hookup point.

Lastly I stained the board with whatever I had on the shelf in my workshop.

Here are some additional shots..

I really miss the 'front' one that my 2011 allowed. It was nice to have a spot to keep a milk crate with tools and stuff up there. Additionally, the ability to have multi-level loading is now gone without a front board.

Otherwise this works great for the typical stuff; groceries, coolers, small boxes, etc...

Like I said I cannot take credit for this; I saw pictures on another thread in the 2016- forum.

Wow you guys are all fancy. I used a old pick-nick table bench seat, which was treated, as my bed divider. At least i know mine wont rot away.

Perfect. It was hard to tell what was going on there in the first picture you posted. And nice job on the artistic hole. lol

I use a 2 x 6 in my F150. Thought about having points in there for bungee connections but never really came up with a plan. I did make a sliding divider that I an push up against things like gas can to hold it in place.

I use two e-track wood end sockets to hold a piece of 2 x 6 pressure treated limber between the box link brackets. I use it to keep rubber maid bins from sliding to the front of the bed.

Any e track accessory will fir in the box link bracket.
