Lookin at upgrading, a few Q's
Hey guys, hope everyone is well!! I have a 1992 F-150 4X4 5.0L E4OD, short box reg cab.
I am looking to get an F-250 with a 351 and a 5spd manual (1993 - 1996) .
My F-150 is running well, but bad mileage (not the reason i am selling it), i avg about 10 - 12mpg right now. What kinda mileage roughly will a 351 5spd F-150 4X4 get?
Also, roughly whats the approx towing capacity of an F-250(351 5spd 4X4)?
Anyone have any common problems to watch out for?
Are there better tranies to hope for and ugly ones to avoid? Or is ther only one 5spd in these trucks.

10-12 MPG on a 302 is really low, but of course that's not the question. The 351 is going to get around what your getting now.
The tranny they put in which is only the (ZF-5 manual) is a damn good tranny, I am waiting for my M5OD to die so I can swap one in my truck.
